Passion by Lauren Kate

Oh man Oh man Oh man… The Fallen novels just keep getting better and better! Ah!!! One more right? and I cannot wait to see what’s up next for Luce and Daniel…  Will they be together and stay together OR will Satan get his way?  Imagine going back into the past to see an earlier version of yourself falling in love with the same person time and time again.  Learning about yourself and your true love by reliving your death.  Ah…  just wonderful!!!

I’ve read all three of the Fallen novels, I think I might have skipped writing my thoughts about Torment (hmm…  I will have to do that at some point), and I’ve really enjoyed them all!  The fallen angel concept and storyline is or was very unique to me.  Passion ends up taking us back to the very beginning of Daniel, Cam and crew – to the point just where the angels begin their fall from grace.  With the information that Satan told Luce – turns out they now have 9 days till everything starts again – I am SO… looking forward to the next installment 🙂

Lauren Kate has this ability to keep me engaged with her writing.  And yes…  this is another one of these novels that is written from the 2 perspectives: Luce and Daniel.  We have the chase – Luce arrives at a place in time first, lives through it then Daniel arrives just after she leaves for the next time point.  We also have the different views and sets of feelings at the different time points – Luce desperately trying to find a way to break the curse and Daniel desperately trying to find and save Luce.  Just wonderful!!!

And I can’t leave this without a Book Trailer 🙂  So here’s the Official Australian Book trailer:

Highly recommended

Ages: 14 and up

Favourite quote:

”  ‘ The Mayans were geniuses.  By this point in their civilization, they’ve already predicted the end of the world in 2012.’  He coughed theatrically.  ‘But that remains to be seen.  Time will tell.’ ”         p.  284

( I couldn’t resist this quote – ’tis almost 2012 after all 🙂  )
