Now that’s what I’m talking about! Shadowland was fantastic! I had to wait a couple of months to get a copy from the Library – and oh!! It was great!!! I’m definitely craving for more Damen and Ever. This was a book that was truly hard to put down – every paragraph lead me to wanting more. The decisions Ever had to make were truly torturous – and after solving Roman’s final riddle, her challenges are so much greater now! I can’t wait to see how she deals with her new challenges. The author does a great job at intertwining teenage love and relationships with life-altering challenges in the Immortal world.
I just loved this book – the tension and anxiety – oh….. I was in tears when Damen took Ever to Amsterdam – I was so heartbroken along with Ever. Their relationship continues to grow but there are more questions now – especially with Jude and Roman in the picture. Let’s not forget Ever’s aunt Sabine and her blossoming relationship with Ever’s teacher – adding a bit more complication to a once lonely seventeen year old girl.
Oh yes – I definitely recommend this book – but to the older crowd of teens – 16 and over.
The fourth book in The Immortals series, Dark Flame, is due to be released June 22, 2010. I’ll be waiting 🙂
“While we may judge things as good or bad, karma doesn’t. It’s a simple case of like gets like, the ultimate balancing act, nothing more, nothing less. And if you’re determined to fix every situation you deem as bad, or difficult, or somehow unsavoury, then you rob the person of their own chance to fix it, learn from it, or even grow from it. Some things, no matter how painful, happen for a reason.” p. 180
“Breathing in the good – ridding yourself of the bad.” p.222
