Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Faria Stolarz

WOW!!!!  An awesome book!  A story about a girl leading a normal high school life until Ben, accused murdered, comes to her school.  Ben, the mysterious boy who  everyone avoids in fear because it’s rumored he killed his last girlfriend.  Yet despite everyone, Camelia is drawn to him and his touch.  Camelia’s life takes a turn for the worse when she discovers she’s being stalked and her friends blame Ben, yet she trusts him and refuses to believe her friends.  A great story with so many twists and turns, it keeps you guessing right to the very end!  If you love mystery mixed in with high school dramas and relationships – this is the book to read!

After finishing this book I sought out the author’s website, to see her other works.  To my surprise I discovered that there is another book in the “Touch” series called Deadly Little Lies and it seems to pick up where this one leaves off.  So – yes – of course I have to find it and I’ll be sure to add my thoughts on it here.  Looks like there are plans for five books in this series.

On the author’s website there are links to a number of Book Talks.  Here is the Official Book trailer and  I’ll be honest if you need more convincing to read this awesome book – check it out!

Favourite quote:

“If it were up to me, all boys would come with a label:  Failure to take in small doses may result in irrational behavior, poor judgment, and estrangement from one’s friends.”  p. 213
